CHICKEN PAPRIKAS 
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. salt
4 lbs. chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, legs)
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. catsup
1 tbsp. flour

Brown onion in shortening. Add seasonings and chicken; brown 10 minutes. Add water and catsup; cover and let simmer slowly until tender. Remove chicken; add flour to sour cream; mix and add to drippings until mixture thickens. Mix well and pour over chicken. If thinner sauce is desired, add more water.
