CHICKEN PAPRIKAS AND DUMPLINGS 
1 med. onion, chopped
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. paprika
4-5 lbs. chicken, disjointed
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 pt. sour cream
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown onion in butter; add chicken and seasoning. Brown 10 minutes, add water, cover and simmer slowly until tender. Remove chicken. Add sour cream to drippings and mix well. Add dumplings (recipe below). Arrange chicken on top. NOTE: For more gravy, add 1/2 pint sweet cream to sour cream.

DUMPLINGS:

1 c. sifted flour
2 beaten eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients well (will be a pasty dough). Scrape by bits from plate into boiling water; or use a dumpling maker. Cook 15 minutes, drain and rinse with water.
