CHICKEN PAPRIKAS AND DUMPLINGS 
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. water
4 tbsp. shortening
4-5 lb. chicken, cut up and floured
1/2 pt. sour cream

Saute onions in shortening. Add seasonings and chicken. Saute another 10 minutes. Add water; cover and simmer slowly until chicken is tender. Turn off heat. Remove chicken and add sour cream to pan drippings. Turn heat back on and mix well. Add dumplings.

DUMPLINGS:

3 beaten eggs
1 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1/2 c. water

Mix all ingredients in bowl. Beat with spoon. Drop batter by teaspoonful into boiling salted water. Cook 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
