MILE HIGH MERINGUE | |
3 egg whites 2 1/2 tbsp. cold water 1/8 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 3 tbsp. sugar To egg whites, add the cold water. Beat until frothy. Then add cream of tartar and salt and beat until stiff. Add granulated sugar and beat until stiff enough to form peaks. Bake 12 minutes in a slow 325 degree oven. Sprinkle a little sugar on top just before putting in the oven. This forms a light crust and makes cutting very easy. |
