1/2 c. Karo 1/2 c. water 3 c. sugar 3 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. pecans Mix Karo, water, and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Bring to boil. Bring to 260 degrees on candy thermometer. Pour VERY, VERY slowly over 3 beaten egg whites; add all the syrup. Continue beating until the mixture begins to lose it's sheen. Quickly add vanilla and nuts and drop by teaspoons on waxed paper. |
