BREAD PUDDING 
10 slices of bread, white or wheat
4 c. all-purpose flour, or wheat
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. raisins (or other fruit)
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. milk
2 sticks butter

Pour milk over slices of bread and let soak for 20 minutes or until bread is completely soaked through. Add salt, spices, sugar, in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat for 5 minutes and add eggs and stir with a wire whisk. Add vanilla and butter and stir for 20 minutes or until pudding is slightly thickened, then add raisins. Pour into a large baking pan that has been oiled and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool before cutting.
