BASIC YEAST BREAD OR ROLLS | |
1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. butter 2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 2 env. or 2 tbsp. dry yeast 1 1/2 c. warm water 1/2 c. milk Place ingredients in large bowl of mixer; mix a little to melt the fat. Add 2 1/2 cups flour and beat at low speed for 1/2 minute. Scrape down the bowl and beat 3 minutes at high speed. Add 3 1/2 cups more flour and mix in with a spoon. Cover bowl and let rise, then use as rolls or 2 loaves of bread. |
