ICED ALMONDS 
1 1/2 c. whole blanched almonds, pecan halves or walnut halves
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine nuts, sugar and butter. Cook until sugar melts and turns rich brown color. Remove from heat. Immediately add vanilla. Spread on baking sheet. Cool, break into small clusters. Store covered.
