CHICKEN AND KRAUT DINNER 
2 1/2 - 3 lb. fryer or favorite pieces, cut up
4 med. carrots, chunked
4 med. potatoes, halved
Pepper to taste
32 oz. sauerkraut, drain but keep some of the juice for later (if needed)
1 (12 oz.) can of beer

In Dutch oven or electric skillet, place the chicken in it and brown; turn and brown the other side. Add the rest of the ingredients; heat to boiling and reduce to simmer. Cover and cook 45 minutes to 1 hour until the chicken is tender. 4 servings.
