CRISP CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar, plus extra
1 egg
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted with 1/4 c. corn syrup

In large bowl beat butter, 1/2 cup sugar and egg until creamy. Stir in chocolate and corn syrup, then remaining ingredients until smooth. Chill several hours or overnight. Shape into balls using 1 teaspoon dough - roll in sugar, place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 50 cookies.
