Had no eggs and about a quarter cup of butter and remembered a recipe that substituted all that butter for cream cheese OMG... That's the ticket! These cookies were awesome!! Use a quarter cup butter and about 10 oz. Cream cheese and add tbs of vanilla !! Follow recipe you wont regret it my new favorite cookie! Remember to flatten cookie balls before cooking it will speed it up and help cookie to not be cake like!!

You need to put more flour and 1/2 tsp of vanilla and it makes the best roll out sugar cookies.

Great, easy recipe! Ran out of eggs and this was perfect. I followed a previous comment and took out a stick of butter in lieu of a splash of milk and it worked great. Don't worry that it seems very dry, just roll and squish in your hands, flatten to pancake and set in pan. I did six per sheet of cookies and now have a batch of wonderful coffee-shop-esque sugar cookies! Kiddos love 'em. (Note: it is running longer with the big cookies; more like 12-15 minutes at 350°F)

The recipe is great before and after baking them. They turned out huge and yummy. I think they needed to be cooked longer. If burned they taste really good, but they can't be too burned!

I was very low on ingredients and craving sugar cookies! I tried this recipe using butter and some vegetable oil (did not have enough butter). I added a touch of vanilla and some more salt to make up for the veg. oil. The cookies came out perfectly tasty after cooked (though I'm sure they are better with all of that butter!). I cooked them a bit longer than recipe called for (about 13 min)! Yummy with coffee!

I changed the recipe a bit. I changed listed items to the following: unbleached whole wheat flour, turbinado sugar, 2 sticks unsalted butter, 2 sticks salted and added milk chocolate chips. I have had to let them cook longer than stated, but the didn't spread beyond a normal cookie and the dough tastes delicious!

This recipe was great help! We had no eggs and limited butter (1/4 pound) but still was good. The dough was delicious! We ( me and my dad) just took them out and they look more like cupcakes. But still really tasty.

This is a good recipe, but I'm afraid to make it because it had FOUR STICKS of butter. Maybe I'm just a health freak...

Great recipe I cut the recipe in half and added some cinnamon and rolled the dough into bigger balls which made the cookies stayed soft for a couple of days..... But yum yum

This is great because I'm allergic to egg too! Only I made the culinary error of replacing plain flour with self rising and baking soda with baking powder. They morphed into one giant spongy cookie which deflated when poked in the oven :P

I made this recipe initially to eat the dough:) but I decided to go ahead and bake them. If you are making them and are worried about them being to dough-y or soft don't worry! My dough was very buttery and the cookies were too but after they sit a while they get a ton better! Tastes great! Thanks:)
