WEDDING CABBAGE 
2 lbs. cabbage
1/2 c. vinegar
4 1/2 c. water
1/2 stick cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. bacon drippings
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. raisins

Cook cabbage, vinegar, water and cinnamon stick for about 15 minutes. Add other ingredients and simmer several hours or until done, not mush. Keep an eye on pot so it doesn't run dry. Serve hot.
