EGG ROLL DISH | |
2 lbs. ground beef 2 med. carrots 1 med. onion 1 pkg. wonton soup base 1 pkg. egg roll skin 1 sm. pkg. bean thread 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. cooking oil Put ground beef in mixing bowl. Peel and shred carrot. Chop onion very small. Soak bean thread in hot water 10 minutes. Chop bean thread into small pieces. Mix all of the ingredients together with ground beef. Add soup base, salt and pepper to the above. Cut egg roll skin in half. Use teaspoon to pick it up with. Put this into egg roll skin and roll it. Pour 1 cup cooking oil in frying pan. Heat pan to 300 degrees (about 3 minutes) before you put egg rolls in to fry. Cook until golden brown and turn to brown the other side. Take egg roll out and drain on paper towel. Stand egg roll up to drain oil out. Makes 25 or 30 egg rolls. You may dip these in Sweet and Sour Sauce. |
