MARTHA STEWART BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 (1 oz.). sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 8-inch square glass pan.

Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate in microwave (low heat). Combine butter-chocolate with sugar, flour, nuts, baking powder and vanilla. Stir with wooden spoon. Add eggs and mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into pan.

Bake 30 to 40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
