COUNTRY PEAR PIE 
1 (29 oz.) can Bartlett Pears
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. pear syrup
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Drain and slice the pears, save 1/2 cup syrup. Combine brown sugar, flour, salt, and 1/2 cup pear syrup in saucepan. Add butter. Cook and stir until thick and smooth. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Place pears in an 8" pastry lined pie pan. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Pour syrup over top. Top with lattice crust. Brush crust with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
