PEAR APPLE PIE 
Pare and cut up nearly enough apples for a pie. Scald, peel and cut in 4 pears. Use 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cornstarch, mixed and pour over. Use 1 crust bottom and streusel mix or else 2 crust pie. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then 350 degrees until boils and fruit is done.

STREUSEL MIX TOPPING FOR PIE:

1/2 c. butter (oleo)
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. walnuts (optional)

For apple or apple pear pie I add 1 cup grated cheese instead of the nuts. Delicious.
