WHITE FRUIT CAKE (PLAIN) | |
1 lb. sugar (2 c.) 1 lb. butter 1 lb. candied cherries, chopped 1 box white seedless raisins 1 lb. all purpose flour (4 c.) 1 lb. candied pineapple, chopped 1 1/2 lbs. shelled pecans, chopped 9 whole eggs Cream butter and sugar; add 1 egg at a time. Mix in separate bowl the flour, nuts and chopped fruit, add to creamed mixture. Divide into 4 loaf pans (5"x10"). Bake at 300 degrees for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
