PINEAPPLE NUT BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 (#1) can (1 c.) crushed undrained pineapple
1 tsp. baking soda

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl.

Add raisins and nuts.

Combine egg, vanilla and shortening.

Add to flour mixture in bowl.

Dissolve soda in pineapple.

Pour over mixture in bowl. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan, 8 x 4 x 4, at 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
