PRIZE WINNING MEAT LOAF 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. oats, uncooked
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. tomato juice
1 egg, beaten

Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pack firmly into an ungreased 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" loaf pan. Bake in a preheated moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes 8 servings.
