Turmeric Rice

Delish!!! I was looking for this recipe for awhile now, I use brown basmati rice because I watch my carb and glycemic intake. With that rice I let it simmer for about 40 min.... I guess it takes longer to cook?? But it is sooo yummy I have to be careful not to eat the whole batch in one sitting. Someone said turmeric loses it's benefits when it's cooked but I add a lot of black pepper (suppose to increase effects of turmeric ) so I like to think I'm still getting the amazing benefits of this superfood. Hoping my picky 11 year old will go for this!!! I think its kid friendly.
