OVEN BARBECUED CHICKEN 
1 frying chicken
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sliced onion
1/2 c. sliced green pepper
1 c. water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Dredge chicken with flour, salt and pepper and fry in 4 tablespoons of the butter and shortening until brown. Transfer into a casserole. Cook onions in remaining butter until clear. Add other ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour sauce over chicken; cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
