WHITE BREAD - 4 LOAVES | |
12 c. flour 2 1/2 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 1/4 tbsp. shortening 4 c. water (or scalded milk) 2 pkg. yeast Mix ingredients and let rise until double. Punch down and let rest 15 minutes. Form into loaves to fill 1/2 the greased pan. Allow to rise until even with top of pan. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake 15 minutes and reset to 350 degrees for 45 minutes longer. |
