SWEET & SOUR VEGETABLES 
1 can wax beans
1 can cut green beans
2 c. carrots, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 lg. green pepper, diced
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil
Salt & pepper

Partially cook carrots, drain. Drain beans. Prepare other vegetables and combine. Mix other ingredients together and stir until dissolved. Pour over vegetables. Should stand a few hours before serving. Will keep in refrigerator for 2 or 3 weeks.
