STRAWBERRY SALAD 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
2 c. water, boiling
2 (10 oz.) pkg. strawberries
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 lg. ripe bananas, finely diced
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. nuts, if used for dessert

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add the partially thawed strawberries, stirring until thawed. Add the crushed pineapple and bananas. Pour half of mixture into 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan or mold. Chill until firm. Chill remaining half until partially set. Spread first layer with sour cream and pour partially chilled gelatin atop. Chill several hours. Salad is especially good with roast or steak.
