SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS FOR 12 
1/2 c. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 (No. 2 1/2) cans of 6 in 1 tomatoes, strained
1 (No. 2 1/2) can puree
1/2 can water
1 tsp. dry basil or 2 tbsp. fresh
1 heaping tsp. salt
Chopped parsley & pepper to taste
2 lb. spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese

Saute onion and bay leaf in oil. Add puree and water, strained tomatoes, parsley, basil and salt and pepper. Boil slowly about 2 hours.

MEATBALLS:

2 lb. meat loaf mix
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry basil
Pepper to taste
4 eggs
1 clove minced garlic
4 tbsp. grated cheese
1 c. unflavored bread crumbs mixed with 1/2 c. water

Knead all ingredients well. On waxed paper drop 1/4 cup mixture (packed), roll into meatball, put on greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Turn once when half done. Put in sauce, when sauce has already boiled 1 hour and finish cooking.
