FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
2 c. fruit cocktail with syrup (16 oz. can)

Stir all together, put in baking pan (8 x 10, 9 x 9 or two 8 inch round pans). Sprinkle 1 cup of brown sugar on top. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with Cool Whip when serving.
