TINA'S CHRISTMAS MORNING CASSEROLE | |
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash browns (shredded) 1 (15 oz.) can sausage gravy (Country or Homestyle) 1 lb. bulk breakfast sausage, broken up 8 large eggs 1/2 cup milk 1 (16 oz.) bag shredded cheddar cheese (your choice) salt and pepper, to taste Fry hash browns in frying pan on medium high. When cooked spread hash browns evenly throughout the bottom of a rectangular ungreased baking pan and season with pepper, if desired. Spread whole can or jar of sausage gravy evenly over the top of the hash browns in baking pan. Fry and break up breakfast sausage in frying pan on medium high until cooked. Transfer to baking pan. Crack 8 eggs in a large mixing bowl and whip until mixed. Once mixed add milk for more fluffiness. Stir once and season with salt and pepper, if desired. Put eggs in stove-top frying pan and scramble until cooked. Once your scrambled eggs are cooked spread them evenly over top of the sausage in baking pan. Now spread shredded cheddar cheese generously over top of eggs in baking pan. Finally put baking pan with hash browns, sausage, eggs and cheese in a 400°F oven until cheese is melted.
