EAGLE OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Blend shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add hot water with dry ingredients and nuts. Pat very thin (1/8") on cooking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
