WHOLE WHEAT MUFFINS | |
2 c. whole wheat flour, unsifted (bread flour may be used) 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. shortening, melted 1 egg, well beaten 1 1/2 c. sour milk 1/2 c. raisins (opt.) Combine flour, soda, salt and sugar; mix well. Combine melted shortening, well beaten beat and sour milk and quickly add to flour mixture. Add raisins if desired. Bake in muffin pan at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. |
