DEVILED CRABMEAT | |
1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs (3 cheers for food processor inventor -- RAH, RAH, RAH!!) 2 c. flaked, cooked crabmeat 5 hard-boiled eggs 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. prepared mustard Pinch of cayenne pepper (or to taste) 1/2 c. melted butter Buttered bread crumbs or crushed cereal flakes Combine milk and crumbs. Gently stir in crabmeat and thinly sliced egg whites. Blend in mashed egg yolks, salt, mustard, pepper and butter. Pour into buttered 10 x 6 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with crumbs or flakes. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. A complete luncheon with green salad and rolls. |
