SOUR CREAM DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. sour cream
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat butter, brown sugar and eggs in electric mixer. Then stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt. Add to butter mixture. Chill overnight. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool and ice. Makes about 3 dozen.

ICING:

Heat 5 tablespoons butter until golden brown. Watch carefully! Add 2 cups powdered sugar (after removing from stove), 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1 or 2 tablespoons water to spreading consistency.
