SOUR-CREAM DROP COOKIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted before measuring
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. rich, sour cream
1/2 c. nut meats, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift flour with nutmeg, soda, baking powder, and salt. Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well. Add sifted flour mixture alternately with sour cream to first mixture. Then add nut meats. Mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto well-greased 10x14 inch cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cake cooler immediately after baking. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
