4 quarts sliced cucumbers 6 med. onions, sliced 1/3 c. salt 1 green pepper, diced 3 cloves garlic, cut up 5 c. sugar 1 tbsp. mustard seed 1 1/2 tsp. celery salt 3 c. cider vinegar 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric Mix cucumbers, onions, salt, peppers and garlic. Cover with ice and let stand 3 hours; drain. Bring to a boil the sugar, mustard seed, celery, salt, vinegar and turmeric. Add to cucumbers and bring to a boil again. Put in jars and seal. |
