SPANISH CASSEROLE | |
1 lg. onion, chopped 1 lg. green pepper, chopped Shortening 1 lb. ground beef 2 c. whole corn 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup 2 (4 oz.) cans mushroom stems and pieces 1 tsp. chili powder 1 (5 oz.) pkg. noodles 1/2 c. shredded cheese Saute onion and green pepper in a small amount of shortening. Add ground beef and brown. Then add corn, soup, mushrooms and chili powder. Cook the noodles for 5 minutes. Drain and add to the meat mixture. Place in a 2 quart casserole dish; sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 8. |
