1 c. white rice 2 c. water 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. raisins Rinse rice. In a 2 quart saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil. Add rice and cover pot. Turn off heat. After 20 minutes, add raisins and fluff rice with fork. Cover again for a few minutes until raisins are softened. Serve with milk or half and half, sugar and cinnamon if desired. This is a great Sunday evening supper after a big mid day meal. Also good for breakfast or any other time. |
