MINCEMEAT-APPLE BUTTER CAKE 
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 c. mincemeat
1/2 c. apple butter
1 c. nuts, chopped, nut too fine
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add the mincemeat, apple butter, nuts and vanilla. Bake in a greased pan lined with brown paper, then waxed paper. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. This cake keeps for months if kept in an airtight can. This is my Grandmother's recipe; over 100 years old.

This is the exact recipe that my Mother would make for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She always put a Caramel frosting.
