APPLE BUTTER NUT CAKE 
1 c. finely chopped nuts
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

CAKE:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 to 1 c. finely chopped nuts
1 c. (1 med.) peeled, finely chopped apple
1 c. sour cream
1/3 c. apple butter
4 eggs

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar

2 to 3 tbsp. apple butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a solid shortening (not oil), grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan. In small bowl, combine first 3 ingredients; set aside. In large bowl, blend all cake ingredients; beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Pour 3 cups batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of nutmeg mixture. Repeat, ending with batter.

Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan 15 minutes, turn onto serving plate. Cool completely. In small bowl, blend glaze ingredients until smooth; spoon over cake.
