Quick Pizza Dough

I just made it today, and it was good. Added Italian spices to the dough and some salt, and was so good. Smelled like a pizzeria in my kitchen, used a pizza stone and cornmeal and it made the crust nice and crunchy.

I agree, this recipe is great! I added Italian seasoning as recommended by previous posters so blandness was not a problem. We also brushed butter along the edges of the crust before popping it into the oven.

This is one of my favorite recipes for pizza dough! I've altered it slightly by using olive oil instead of vegetable oil and adding 1/4 tsp. salt. It gives it just enough extra taste to combat the blandness without being super overpowering. Also, I like to toss some cornmeal into my pie pans after I grease them and before I bake it to give the crust a pizza parlor finish.

Outstanding! Great for a low salt crust. Brush extra virgin olive oil in place of tomato sauce and sprinkled with italian seasoning, cracked black pepper, crushed red peppers and top with spinach and favorite cheese.

This crust is awesome! I use a secret blend of Italian Seasonings in place of the garlic and salt. I also use olive oil instead of vegetable oil. It's super easy to throw together and people never believe me when I tell them I made it from scratch.

I just made this recipe and did not have the quick rise yeast so I did use the dry active and it worked great! I did add an additional sugar because of it. And added everything else. My husband and kids love it! Very quick and easy!

This is a great recipe, not bland and we didn't use the garlic or onion but lots of course salt. The kids and husband loved it. EASY

The recipe is wonderful! I added Italian seasoning (grinder by Mc Cormick) and a bit of salt and it was fantastic! Do not omit the onion and garlic powder. If you don't have quick rise yeast try dry active: disolve in warm water and add the directed amount of sugar to it to make it rise faster. Works just as well!

Great simple recipie! I skip the onion powder (as I didn't have any) and used it for a calzone, bagle dogs, pizza, pretzel chicken and anywhere else I need a quick crust. Make sure you use a good quality flour (King Arthur's is good) and good olive oil. Never use cheap flour or oil as they provide the majority of the flavor. I also knead the dough for a while to give it more texture. Tastes a little like a soft pretzel.

Added Parmesan cheese, basil and thyme, and switched out 2 tsp. sugar for the honey and used 10 inch springform for deep dish. We love this no wait dough.

I added a teaspoon of salt and this dough was delicious. I also baked my pizza on a pizza stone, preheated to 450°F. It was so quick and easy. Tasty!

This is a good recipe. I don't add in the onion and garlic powder but do add in 1 1/2 tsp. of kosher salt to wake up the flavor of the dough. I also use half whole wheat flour, which helps flavorwise.
