CHICKEN CASSEROLE | |
3 pkgs. Town House or similar crackers 1 chicken or 4 or 5 chicken breasts 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of celery soup 1 c. chicken broth 1 (8 oz.) sour cream 1 1/2 stick butter 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese, optional Melt butter. Crush crackers place in mixing bowl. Pour melted butter over crackers. Place 1/2 cracker mixture in a 9 x 13 pan. Reserve other 1/2 for top. Boil chicken. Save 1 cup of broth. Remove chicken from bone. Set aside. Mix 1 cup broth, both cans of soup and sour cream. Add chicken and stir. Pour chicken mixture over crumbs. If using cheese, sprinkle over chicken mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
