LINGUINE IN CAROZZA
2 oz. olive oil
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Salt to taste
1 oz. sweet vermouth
1 lb. linguine pasta
12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/4 inch square cubes

Pour olive oil in 2 quart pot, spreading it evenly on the bottom of the pot. Add all the ingredients listed except the Mozzarella cheese and the linguine. Using medium-high heat, heat the sauce to boiling. Reduce heat to low, stirring constantly. Cook at low boil for 35 minutes, uncovered, continuing to stir frequently. Remove from heat. Add the Mozzarella cheese.

While the sauce is cooking, prepare the linguine according to the instructions on the package. Drain the pasta and place in a large bowl or an elongated dish. Pour sauce over and serve. Makes 4 servings.
