1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 2/3 c. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. coconut Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream the butter with the sugar and blend thoroughly until light. Beat in the eggs. Sift the flour with the baking soda and nutmeg. Add to the sugar and butter mixture. Add walnuts and coconut and mix well. Drop from a teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until lightly browned. (These cookies spread so leave room between them.) Yield: 4 to 5 dozen. |
