CALICO STEW 
1/3 c. butter
1 c. peeled & cubed (1/2") raw potatoes
7 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 c. peeled & sliced (1/4") carrots
1/2 c. chopped onion
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/8 tsp. pepper

In heavy 2 quart saucepan melt butter. Add potatoes, corn, carrots, onions and spices. Cover tightly. Cook, stirring frequently over medium low heat until potatoes and carrots are tender (about 15 minutes). Serve immediately.
