BANANA NUT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 crushed bananas
2 eggs
1 c. nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all cake ingredients well. Bake in layers or in loaf pan at 350 degrees until done.

FILLING:

2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cream or canned milk
1/2 c. butter

Bring filling ingredients to boil. Let boil 1 minute. Cool until lukewarm, beat and spread on cake.
