CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Reese's peanut butter chips OR
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Hershey's semisweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter OR chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not overbake; cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooking.) Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
