HAM SLICE 
1 tsp. fat
3 to 4 lb. ham slice that will fit in cooker
Cloves if desired
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 sm. can pineapple
1/2 c. water in cooker with rack

Heat pressure cooker and add fat. Place ham in open cooker. Sear on both sides until golden brown. Place ham on plate and score fat in diamond shapes with sharp knife. Put cloves in half if desired. Place ham on rack in cooker. Put water, brown sugar and pineapple on ham. Place cover on cooker. Allow steam to flow from vent pipe to release air from cooker.

Place indicator weight on vent pipe and cook 30 minutes with stem at cook position. Let stem return to down position. Cook syrup until thick in open cooker and pour over ham. Garnish with lettuce leaves and halves of pears, if desired.
