TOFU BURGERS 
1 lb. pkg. tofu
2 c. oats (oatmeal) (reg., not quick)
1 tbsp. catsup
1 tbsp. tamari sauce (Worcestershire if desired)
1 sm. onion, minced
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. oil

Wash tofu under running water and drain. Crumble it into a large bowl.

Place oatmeal in blender and blend until you have a coarse flavor. Add oats to tofu; mix well.

Add all remaining ingredients (mix with hands). Form into burger-sized patties and fry at low temperature for about 8 minutes per side. (Use the 2 tbsp. oil for frying.) Makes 6 large burgers. Good on sesame buns. Use any garnishes, lettuce, onions, sprouts, pickles, sliced tomatoes, etc. Can be eaten cold. Keeps well.
