BELLE'S SPICED NUTS | |
1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla 1 lb. walnuts, cashews, peanuts, etc. Boil water and sugar until soft-ball stage (240°F) of a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Stir until coated. Pour out onto waxed paper or a silicone baking sheet and separate. Roll in superfine or caster sugar (optional). Sprinkle with a pinch of Popcorn Salt, if desired. Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended. Submitted by: Belle |
