1 quart shelled nuts
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix sugar, water, salt, cinnamon and vanilla in a large thick frying pan. Bring to a boil and simmer until mixture spins a thread. Pour in the nuts and stir until all are well coated. Pour on wax paper to cool.
