CREAMY RICE PUDDING | |
1 c. water 1 1/2 c. uncooked regular rice 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon or nutmeg 1/2 c. raisins (opt.) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat water, rice and salt to boiling in 2 quart saucepan; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir remaining ingredients into rice. Pour into ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Place casserole in pan of very hot water (1" deep). Bake, stirring occasionally, until most of the milk is absorbed, 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. 6 to 8 servings. |
