EDITH'S RAW APPLE CAKE 
2 c. raw apple
1 c. sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
1/4 c. oil
1 c. flour
3/4 c. dates (either or both)
1/2 c. raisins (either or both)
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix everything in bowl. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in 8 or 9 inch square pan. P.S. Mom always doubled the recipe. When doubled, use 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
